For any regular readers – thought I should at least advise that I am still alive and almost, kicking.
I do a blind email shot update – not regularly enough – every other month maybe – to my circle of contacts – with just a few of the Highlights – or low-lights over the previous couple of months. -and my blog manager thought it might be of interest to blog regulars – perhaps with a little edit i.e. no names.
So – let’s give it a go.
First – I am drifting along as usual –
Highlights in May:
- Tesco grocery deliveries –
- Podiatrist visit –
- Boiler – annual maintenance visit –
Nice evening hosting a few neighbours to watch Tyson Fury lose to Usyk – guaranteed rematch – what a surprise!
and –
- Dinner with James and Caroline (my son and his partner) -at our local Italian restaurant – Casa Lingo – five minutes’ drive away – good as ever.
- and –
no particular health issues I was aware of – but – had a requested phone consultation with my GP, following ‘slightly’ raised liver readings following a regular blood test – (which shocked me – not!).
No problem – only slightly raised – in fact no worse than last test – so usual -then – then usual from him – ‘ just try to cut back and have a couple of dry days per week – and then – now they’ve got you – ‘do you smoke’? – thankfully my true answer – ‘not for over forty years’ – and he has lost interest – no action required from him.
Hung up the phone – and had a glass of wine to celebrate!
