Vexatious Litigant

A concept in English law dating back to Victorian times – hence the antiquated language.

some jurisdictions i.e. States, in the USA –Like a number of ex- British colonies – recognise the principle and hold a list of ‘vexatious litigants’ :

PThey are eople who have repeatedly abused the legal system by taking multiple legal actions without any legal basis.

Because lawyers could be disbarred for participating in this abuse of the legal process, vexatious litigants are often unable to retain legal counsel.

All of the forty plus, civil actions against States, that Trump has launched – claiming a fraudulent Presidential election count -– have failed and been thrown out by the courts.

Also – one of his very common business practices – learnt from his dad – was to accuse contractors of failing to complete their contractual obligations and dragging them through the courts with repeated actions – until they gave up and agreed a big discount.

Just a thought –

Could this be the final action against him – ‘Vexatious Litigant’ – because, I think he qualifies – just to shut him up, and prevent multiple appeals.

If – he is not already ‘shut up’ , of course.

You heard it here – first.
