Trump Mugshot -Brace Yourself!
Trump arrived in an extravagant motorcade – he does like a show – and entered a rear entrance of the Fulton County Jail in Georgia to be booked fingerprinted and ‘mugshot’ photo – on racketeering charges – for interference in the Presidential ballot.
He left after 20 minutes. He quickly returned to the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and posted his ownmugshot -of which he is obviously proud.Planned in advance, of course – he and others have described it as, ‘an iconic image’ –which is now the centrepiece of his fund-raising campaign.
Along with his original Twitter post – he added -“Make a contribution to Evict Crooked Joe Biden from the White House and SAVE America during this dark chapter in our nation’s history.”Also available -beer coolers, mugs and T-shirts with the image and,‘NEVER SURRENDER!
So not much:
Contrition
Remorse
Penitence
Regret
And certainly not shame – and he only does blame for everyone else
I assume he wanted to give the impression of:
Defiance
Menace
Threat
Even- a ‘warrior
Not a Psychopath
He must have practiced that expression all night –
I just see – a playground bully.
He is still claiming innocence at every opportunity – especially into a live TV camera.
Multiple times he said – “I did nothing wrong” with an occasional, “We did nothing wrong” –
Despite the damning evidence- which, in the case of the Georgia indictment – includes a full recording of the phone call in which Trump clearly pressured Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a fellow Republican, to overturn the state’s presidential election result. In a January 2021 phone call, that lasted more than an hour –famously including Trump saying – “You just need to find 11,780 votes.”Trump had already been told repeatedly by top Justice Department officials that his claims about widespread voter fraud in Georgia were completely false. — the same claims he would go on to make in the call with Raffensperger—. And Georgia had already investigated those claims, found none, and certified its election results.
N.B. – Trump has said – from moments after the 2020 Presidential Election – that he had evidence of local fraud in the election count, which led to him losing. That ‘evidence’ has, since been thrown out in over forty state court actions.
“Irrefutable Evidence”
Trump said – in a message he posted on Truth Social on Tuesday 15th August – that he will share a report with irrefutable evidence – on what he called the “Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia” – during a news conference next Monday – 21 August.
Just three days later – on Thursday evening – he wrote in a Truth Social post that he would no longer hold a news conference nor release an extensive report that he previously said would clear him and his allies of any wrongdoing.
“ Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment by a publicity & campaign finance seeking D.A., (Fani Willis) who sadly presides over a record breaking murder & violent crime rate in Atlanta. Therefore, the News Conference is no longer necessary!”
So it’s not him – it’s his lawyers again.

By the way – the crime rate in Atlanta over the term of Fani Willis – has, in fact, halved.
