Conclusion

For those readers who assume I am an anti-royalist – I will admit that I have a basic ideological problem with such privilege, totally based on an ‘accident of birth’.

But – it’s selective – I cannot fault the job Elizabeth 2nd did for a large part  of my lifetime – her dedication to duty could not be faulted and I trust that Charles will do the same, and I appreciate that a working Royal family generate significant goodwill and net revenue for the UK.

I once had the pleasure of attending a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace – with Charles and Diana hosting, and accepted that as a privilege –  and enjoyed the ceremoney of it  –  although there was no alcoholic refreshment.

The invite was the result of a number of years working as an ancillary trainer with Goverment departments – focused on export promotion – though I admit – I was paid for that.

It’s just an unfortunate fact, that some of the new generation of royals, appear to have a highly personalised perception  of ‘work’.
