Trump – from President to Racketeer’
‘Racketeering’ charges for Presidential election interference in Georgia – comprising 41 counts against Trump and 18 against ‘allies’ – could have indicted a total of 25 ‘allies.
A Georgia Special Grand Jury actually recommended charging another seven ‘allies’ in the indictment. The panel made the recommendation last year after hearing from dozens of witnesses.
However, 18 allies were deemed sufficient and achievable, in a total of 59 indictments – against Trump and his gang – as we can now call them. – for the ‘racketeering’ charges to be successful.
-The special grand jury’s mandate was to write a report with recommendations on whether indictments were warranted in the investigation, which was led by Fani T. Willis, the Fulton County district attorney. Ms. Willis asked to convene a special grand jury because such panels have subpoena powers, and she was concerned that some witnesses would not cooperate without having to.
It is becoming increasingly obvious that the campaign to overturn the 2020 a Presidential election result – was a criminal, organised and co-ordinated, scheme involving a significant number of senior Republicans.
i.e. a ‘racket’ – as defined in a US law – originally introduced to deal with MAFIA type operations.
The trial also intends to prove that the scheme was planned even before the election took place.
The saga – just keeps giving.
